 Billy Gilmore has been singing songs to people for 33 years.Writing music became a passion , taking Billy on many a musical odyssey.

Country music creeps into the former underground coalminer's life, "Beneath Beaconsfield" a song Billy wrote .This sets the stage for Billy's next album release.

As for now it is "The Olive Tree" taking centre stage,with an array of ancient Greek stories put to modern day music and song.Truly a masterpiece, retracing such stories as Troy,Jason and the argonauts,The Odyssey,Thermopylae....and more, "The Plains of Marathon" making the official proposal musical list for the Athens Olympic Games in 2004!
