Rod began guitar in the 60's, inspired by the Beatles and a family steeped in country music. After 'cutting his teeth'in Melbourne cover bands, he joined 'The Blue Denim Country Band', recording with Johnny Chester in the 70's, appearing on many Australian television shows.

 After forming bands in the late 70's and 80's, and "The Harmony Brothers' in the 90's, Rod moved to Queensland's Gold Coast where he worked in rock'n'roll bands. An original rock/country cd still enjoys air play in that area.

His latest venture was fingerstyle jazz guitar, where he combines walking bass lines with rhythm, melody and percussion; Rod's occasional vocals combined with a pythonesque sense of humourset him apart during his shows.
