In 1973 EMI released Jeannie's classic debut album, Free Fall Through Featherless Flight, arranged and directed by Michael Carlos, with a cover design by renowned Australian pop artist Martin Sharp . Backing Jeannie on the album was an all-star lineup including Michael Carlos on moog, organ and harpsichord, Mike Wade (guitar), Mike Reid (guitar), Ken Firth (bass), Jamie McKinley (piano), Greg Henson (drums), Alan Lee (percussion), Marcia Hines (backing vocals), Shayna Stewart (backing vocals), The Fidelio String Quartet and a wind section.

The album won the Australian Radio Record Award for the Best Australian LP of 1974.  It was reissued on CD by EMI in 1992 but was only in print for a relatively short time.  Now music fans can enjoy it once again with this 2005 reissue on Jeannie's own label.
