I come from a family of musicians. My Grandfather,Albert Porter, started the first brass band in Adelaide. My father Max played sax and clarinet and led a 16 piece orchestra. My early influences were jazz, country and folk until I first heard the blues,I have been playing it ever since. I was very fortunate in early '07 to be able to record an Album with the great Australian guitarist Tim Gaze. His knowledge, experience and feel for my music was invaliable.I was also joined by legendary Canadian harmonica player Doc Span and Sydney bass player Red Porter(my brother).I am currently touring Australia playing solo gigs and promoting the CD.
