 More info and Reviews

Growing up on Nungurner Jetty Road in heart of East Gippsland was the inspiration and beginning of a journey for Lee & Paula Bowman in country music. The name Jetty Road encapsulates the heart of what their music is all about.

Twin sisters Lee & Paula, always knew they were destined for bigger things in music. From an early age they were singing in harmony together and playing along to Dolly Parton songs in their bedrooms. Many years later, while studying music, the girls met fellow band members Julian Sammut and Simon Ross. They formed a lifelong musical friendship and Jetty Road was born. As well as a love of performing, their passion also lies in songwriting.

Since debuting at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2005, Jetty Road has started making big inroads within the country music scene. They released their debut album Full Circle to excellent reviews with their first single Run To You reaching #21 on the Australian Country Track Charts.  This year the band performed at the 2006 Tamworth CMF to rave reviews and played to packed venues, including the Toyota Country Theatre for the Fanfest concert series.

Jetty Road received a Top 5 nomination for Best Group at this years Tiara Awards as well as Top 5 finalist nominations in the Best Group/Duo (VIC), Best Group (NAT) & Best New Talent (NAT) categories at Whittlesea Country Music Awards in February this year. Run To You has also been included on a number of recent country compilation albums. It has been placed as the opening track on the new Saturday Night Country Hottest Hits - Volume 2 album and also makes an appearance on The Stars of Fanfest 2006 cd – both nationally released mid January 2006.

Jetty Road has also been included on the upcoming Home Grown Country Vol 1 compilation, due for release in Australia and New Zealand in April 2006 through Shock Records. Big things are set to happen for Jetty Road, they are surely one of the most exciting new bands in country music today.

“The girls perform with dazzling soul-stirring vocals and are just as good as anything that has come out of the US.”

Deborah Minter of Capital News

"I first heard Jetty Road up at Tamworth earlier this year, & immediately bought their album.  I love the songs, and I really like an album that I can listen to from start to end and enjoy every track.  Great first album"
